Fresh air is not a luxury

A luxury cruise is an experience of a lifetime. Occasionally this experience is blighted for some guests by outbreaks of viruses or on-board infections. For others the holiday may be spoiled by unpleasant smells pervading the atmosphere. The airborne pathogens that spread infection, and odours such as cigarette and pipe smoke as well as food preparation smells, can be effectively eliminated with the Vitec Air Purification System (VAPS).

CASE STUDY

VAPS was installed in an open plan area where several people had complained of respiratory irritation. Levels of biological load were taken prior to installing VAPS. Once operational, measurements were taken again and the total biological load had decreased by 84%.

Following this, the units were switched off, and three days later the levels were rapidly increasing again.
